The desert is one of my favorite landscapes.  I love the dry heat and long vistas.  Even in its seeming bleakness, I find it to be a place of natural abundance and beauty.  I am continually enchanted and amazed by what I find in the desert—whether it is a striated rock formation, an unexpected flower in bloom, or the color of the sky at dusk.  The desert serves as a constant source of creativity and inspiration.
