Turquoise, usually a stone most often worn during the summer months–as wardrobes become more casual, has been a Fall stone for me this year.
I love the earthiness of the stone–unfaceted and rife with veins and fissures–as well as its opacity. This Fall I find myself fascinated not only with Turquoise and its rainbow of hues, but with what I like to call “turquoise culture”–the American Southwest.
As I write, I’m wearing a pair of Minnetonka boots–a souvenir from my recent trip to New Mexico, Land of Enchantment and home to all things Turquoise! This turn I’m taking toward the natural and earthy isn’t a solo venture. Even the unlikely ladies of Wisteria Lane are feeling the pull of the Southwest–Teri Hatcher just donned Elephant Heart’s Red Sea Necklace from our Turquoise for Fall collection in a recent episode of Desperate Housewives!
I’m excited to be in such good company as I travel the Turquoise road–so come join me!
Elephant Heart has just launched a Turquoise for Fall collection featuring Turquoise of all shapes, sizes, and colors! Check out new color variations for the Red Sea Necklace.
