It’s been a long hot summer here in Los Angeles and I’m glad to finally be comfortable wearing long pants again!

I’ve taken a summer break from blogging to concentrate my efforts on moving myself and Elephant Heart to a new studio in Downtown Los Angeles at the Brewery Arts Complex.

The Brewery is acknowledged as the world’s largest live-work art colony.  The 26 acre property is home to about 500 artists.  I live next to two architects on one side and a sculptor on the other.  It is wonderful to be part of an artistic community in the heart of the city–I feel motivated and inspired and more creative than ever!

October promises to be a very busy month.  In the next few weeks Elephant Heart will be unveiling a new collection of chalcedony jewelry inspired by the overwhelming interest in our Green Earth Chalcedony Earrings worn by Vanessa Williams in People Magazine. Elephant Heart will also be participating in the Brewery Artwalk at the end of the month (October 24 and 25)–more details to follow!
